Barça to Host Inaugural Match at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in the Spanish league 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees can be present as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed finished work included a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.

Barcelona held an open training session at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to host the next European match versus the German side on 9 December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
