Netflix Chooses Ideal Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is geared up to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t take place until the third season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.
The platform declared this week that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Mr. 2. This character possesses the power to transform into an exact copy of anyone they’ve touched with their main hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will play a version of that role re-envisioned as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action series, unlike the initial comic and animated series.
This performer joins multiple fresh additions tasked with bringing the organization to reality, featuring chief Mr. 0, brought to life by the seasoned performer, a talented actress as a key member, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who also joins the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Even though the role is a key figure of the group, the character will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Given the next season likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.
Their mix of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the role. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
The platform’s adapted One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
