The former president's Granddaughter Receives Professional Tips from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
The rising star maintains considerable online presence
Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent backers when she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses multiple courses worldwide and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she stated.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially suggested to go out there and relax," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with running the country, making him rather occupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions this year and maintains position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she's able to receive tips from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He told me to play, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
She'll challenge multiple top competitors in professional golf at this tournament, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that Kai's presence brings golf to wider groups, specifically reaching younger fans.
Kai has a massive following and has started an exclusive fashion and living company.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
