Your Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Zodiac Sign
This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement across the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions before the game's release, to players forming firm views on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.
With numerous of the Super Forms boasting distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought naturally: What's the best way to connect this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly chosen for Aries, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly furious, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being fun, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Remain on the friendly side of either and benefit from a powerful ally; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Much like a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross, both in its standard and Super Form, has assisted numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side to the end. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Several past Pokédex entries mention their fondness for sweet sap and how it employs its appendage to hoard it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Look at this total royalty. You cannot convince me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly easy to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire open area with their stories. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its ability to predict an opponent's future actions, which seems very like a people-smart Gemini.
The Crab – Super Manectric
Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign known for frequently getting wrapped up in their emotions. Per the official info, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also known for its ability to make a storm cloud over its own self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
The Lion – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you think I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Lion brings to the scene. Starmie is also said to be broadcasting signals from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The sign known for being charmingly judgmental is strongly mirrored throughout this creature's entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised face like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo sends to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic being, who uses the sensors on its ears to tell how people are emotionally by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Super Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad origin: Discarded as a doll, it gained consciousness through pure resentment and vowed retribution on its former owner. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpio adores karma and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful small entertainer” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even notes how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re right. The thing is, similar to a visionary Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Aloof element Water Bearer is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being unpredictable partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire typing matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating presence is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “draws in negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
